What’s new at Transcend?
It’s been 3 months of change at Transcend Management Advisors. Being that change is our business, that’s good news! Some highlights from the past few months and looking forward to the next three.
Wilma was asked to join MacKay CEO Forums as its Calgary Chair. CEO Forums provide a confidential environment for CEOs of non-competing companies to share their challenges and experiences as business leaders. These exclusive small groups are built on trust and enable CEOs to address some of the most pressing issues they face. A very successful initial kick-off breakfast with 33 CEOs in attendance was held at the Calgary Petroleum Club on April 11th. A second kick-off breakfast takes place on June 19th, with CEO Forums groups starting on June 19th and 25th.
Wilma is also a Women’s Executive Network (WXN) Wisdom Group facilitator. Her senior executive group came to an end in April and a mid-level executives group starts on April 24th.
In order to secure and retain the top positions within their organisations, female executives need to continually develop and adapt their leadership style. They must also learn how to effectively manage the tension between their devotion to the job and to their personal life priorities. By joining the WXNWisdom Peer Mentoring program, participants are able to interact with like-minded individuals who face similar challenges. With the support of a personal advisory board of eight to ten women and a trained facilitator, group members gain invaluable insights and differing perspectives, which can be instrumental in long-term career planning and success.
We’re pleased to announce that Andy Kinmonth, CPC, ACC, a retired Shell Canada President, has joined Transcend as an associate. He provides coaching and consulting services. Andy, a fellow graduate of the Demers Core Alignment Coaching Program has extensive experience working with senior leaders in organizations.
